So It Begins

I'm a little over a month out of college now which means I'm officially an adult. Not really sure if I was ready for that transition, but here I am! It's been a wild, exhausting, awesome time so far. There's no looking back, except to appreciate the lessons and the laughs. SO here's what I've learned and/or experienced in my first two weeks, I hope you can learn or laugh at my time thus far!

1. Staying awake until 2 am is not fun anymore. Going to bed before ten is enough to make your whole day because, well, work.

2. There is absolutely no amount of coffee that will make me a morning person. But I'll keep trying :)

3. Learning how to interior decorate is overwhelming, but it's so fun to do with the women that love you most. Even if you want to put pink in your living room, they'll help you try to achieve your vision!

4.  Dishwashers are absolutely terrifying at night. It may be a machine, but those noises sound like someone breaking in 90% of the time.

5. You'll never regret saying hello to your neighbors! Mine are awesome :)

6. I got way too excited when I found out my stove top cooks perfectly even.

7. At least one radio station in every area has a Friday morning celebration. It's the best thing!

8. I have yet to find a way to make steel toes look good for work. If any of my lady friends out there have found a cute pair, please share!

9. Mt. Airy people are so nice.

10. My coworkers are the most fun.

11. Everyone in Clemson loves Clemson. When you leave Clemson, you seem a little excessive. Hasn't stopped me yet though (sorry!)

12. It is wise to always have a frozen meal in case of emergency.

13. I joined a winery yall! It's called Jolo and everyone that's 21 needs to come and visit with me.

14. To live in Winston-Salem, NC you have to be comfortable with lots of U-Turns and quick exits.

15. Whoever decided there should be a "Reyonlds Park" and a "Reynolda Park" in the same city did not think that through. And can lead to a very time consuming typo when the first one you get to is actually a golf course!

16. Winston-Salem is all about BBQ and vinegar BBQ sauce! I've not tried enough to tell you where is best yet, stay tuned.

17. Waldo's Wings may have the best wings I've ever eaten.

18. When the sunset is easily seen from your back porch, sunset dinners are a regular event.

Not super exciting yet, but I'll share my favorite moments with you as I get more into adulting! Pictures to come soon of my new place and fun times :)

Do you ever stumble upon someone's social media, think "This is a super cool person!" or "This person is stinking hilarious!" and can't help but follow? I have a few of those and they are some of my favorite people on social media, but I'm here to tell you about my favorite. My roommates and I LOVE the Bachelor and Bachelorette, and in following the show's Instagram I was told to follow a Snapchat account run by someone named Amy Jo for weekly commentary. I figured, what the heck, I'll check it out. YALL. Best decision ever!!!

Amy Jo Audagnotti is quite possibly the funniest and most awesome person on Snapchat right now. Sorry, Kylie Jenner, but it's true. She and her husband are awesome Christ following people who happen to have a great sense of humor and appreciate the little things in life. They also have three precious children so if you like cute little people, read this next little part carefully!

THEY STARTED A VLOG!! They have prayed over it and so far have shared their life with a few hundred people. They even made it on the news!!! So here's the main point of this all. If you want to bring some more smiles, Jesus, and laughs into your life you need to subscribe. I even included the link so it's super easy!!! They are doing everything they can to reach 1 thousand followers and after talking with Amy Jo one night I had to share it with you all. Sharing is caring, right?! Oh honey!

Everyone loves Spring. Flowers everywhere, warm weather, any and everything is blooming, so beautiful right? As much as I appreciate God's artistry, I would love if the allergy part could have been left out. My allergies are TERRIBLE!!

I've been on Zyrtec for years, and it's been great. However this Spring has sprung early and it's a little more than my trusty Zyrtec can handle. So I've turned to a new attempt at relief: local honey. Supposedly this can help allergies, and it tastes pretty yummy too.

So I picked up a big back of honey from a local shop in Pickens, SC. Only problem is I have no idea how to eat it. Do I just take it by the spoonful or does anyone have recipes to share with me?! I'm seriously up for anything, so hit me with your best kept honey secrets. I've included a lovely picture below to inspire you. Also, has this approach helped any of you?!

Love, Ashley
